Straight after breakfast we hopped on the large truck we've arranged to take all the kids to the beach... Keeping to yesterday's theme, THE TRUCK RAN OUT OF PETROL on the way....... :-))))) You gotta laugh..... We hopped off the truck and walked the last 1000 meters or so - nothing else was going to get in our way!!!
We stopped a couple of times on our waalk, so the kids could listen to the crashing waves get louder as we got closer... And when we finally go there, the kids' eyes and faces said it all - WOW!!!
They hit the water tentatively at first, and with full-enthusiasm within a few more minutes... The bigger kids were jumping waves in no time and the smaller ones were happy in the shallows...
The photos tell the story better than anything else... Enjoy...
Alex getting her hair done in the morning... :-))
Our truck heading to the beach (before it broke-down...) after a heavy downpour...
An overcast day, didn't dampen out spirits...
Pom-Sen on the right - a beach-bucket on his head, with goggles...
Ready for 'the landing'... :-)
And here we all are...
5 Aussies and our kids who are at the beach for the first time in their lives... :-)
Yippie!!!!!!!!
Mich with some of the kids - sorry 'bout the water on the lense... ;-)
Theourn chilling on the beach...
Set and Tah - Gim running in the background...
Sanak and Sari collecting seashells...
Amh with her bucket and spade...
Ryan and the kids burying Pom-Sen...
If we can't swim, no problem... We can float...
(For those of you worried about water-safety, we had
adults in the water at all times...)
The wind started picking-up by lunchtime (check-out the trees
in the background...), but the kids were having
too much fun to worry about that...
Alex and Leak...
Lunch at our beach-shack...
Playing pool at our beach-shack...
Heading back to the Guest House - very tired - and very happy... :-)))))
(Truck fixed...:-))
And more to come tomorrow... :-)))
Looks amazing except for the weather. Can't believe you've had such bad luck but I'm sure you'll laugh about it one day.
