We first cut small rectangles out of white paper, and the kids all wrote $1 on their ‘bills’; we then laid the table full of goodies we bought at the market – we would have bought over 400 packs of snacks and lolly-pops for $18 - yes, $18..... :))
The kids then had to ‘come into the shop’ and say hello, ask how we were, and ask how much the item they wanted to buy was going to cost... And when they finished spending their ‘money’, they had to thank us and say ‘see you later’... :)

The kid is always in side us, hey Aviv. Shop idea was a gr8 learning tool, looked like fun, but then any activity with the kids is fun, they embrace all moments of their lives with a smile.
ReplyDeleteAnd they remind us to be gr8ful of all we have. Thank you Steph & Aviv for your effort in bringing our gifts & more to Savong's school.
Bless You All. Megz xx
Nameste Steph & Aviv. Nameste has a multitude of meanings which tie in with the spiritual origins of the word. My favourite is "I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells, I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Integrity, of Wisdom and of Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One." Megz xxoo
